Over the years, I have come to treasure my friend Av. Fun, expressive, and charismatic, he's the kind of person people like to be around. At the same time, he's smart, goal-driven, and - not surprisingly - highly successful.
Av wasn't born into privilege. His success is a result of his strong drive. Steadfast values. And a sterling character that has enabled him at every turn to stay the course.
From a Dartmouth BA, to a Harvard MBA, to his position today as an executive director for Goldman Sachs, Av has worked hard for all he's achieved. Along the way, he has come to appreciate life's finest things and wants only the very best for those he loves - especially his wife Lucinda, whom he calls his soul mate.
"We wed when I was just starting out and didn't have much materially," Av says. "She married me for who I was on the inside."
Recently, Av and Lucinda welcomed their second child into the world. To mark the occasion in an indelible way, Av visited my shop to pick out a gift for his soulmate. He wanted jewelry that would represent not only the joy of their new baby, but the beauty of their marriage, the blessings of good health, and the bountiful success he had attained in life.
I had no doubt what Av needed. I introduced to him that day to the best-of-the-best, the Solasfera.
When he saw the diamond for the first time, he was mesmerized by its perfect radiance. "Nothing compares!" he said. Lucinda unwrapped Av's gift the next day. When she looked at her sparkling treasures, she was, Av reported, ecstatic. Coincidentally, just a few weeks later, she had a prime opportunity to display her gifts publicly at her brother's wedding in Hawaii.
There, she received an abundance of compliments - and even a few lingering, awestruck stares!
As Av achieves new successes, and his love for Lucinda continues to bloom, I have a feeling their future together will be marked by many more Solasferas. "Marriage is a special promise that takes a lifetime to fulfill," he says. "I'm grateful to have discovered this amazing diamond - a unique way to deliver on my promise and remind my wife she means the world to me."
